Air show pt 2

Look Mom!
Zoom!
Look at these. There are four different planes flying together.
Stacked on top of each other.
Flying next to each other.
Wow!
This plane flew right before the blue angles and it says "blue angles" on the plane but it's not the regular blue angel plane.

air show pt 1

Okay so on Saturday, the air show came to Andrews AFB. It was so cool :) We went last year, so this year we watched the show with looking at some of the planes etc on the ground unlike last year (which was the opposite). I am going to post the blue angels both today and fri since they are the little videos. Dragon

Fri & Saturday hair cuts and ice skating

So on Friday while I was cleaning my kitchen Brandon cut his hair. sigh... This is the second time he has done this. What makes this one frustrating is that I had maintenance in that same bathroom fixing a clog in the bathtub and at the SAME time Brandon cut his hair. I can't imagine that an adult doesn't say anything when he sees a four year old getting the scissors and cut their hair. sigh. Anyway I had to brave the horrible parking (the BX parking was closed because of the air show and park far away to get into the store). The really sad part of this is, that he just had his hair cut about two weeks ago.
Here is the after the barber pic.
smile.
Wow, this last Saturday was a busy day too! Rich went to New Mexico for his parents 40th wedding anniversary/family reunion. He was gone thurs - sometime today. On Saturday Brandon had his ice skating class. So here are some pictures of his class.

After ice skating we went to the Air show at Andrews. I took a ton of pictures so I will post those wed and friday. The Blue Angels were here and both Brandon and I loved it.

Outside on Thursday w/blue angels

So yesterday was a beautiful day outside, after 5 or so days of rain we needed a couple of nice days. To bad it's supposed to rain both today and sunday. The air show is coming to Andrews AFB, MD this weekend and they have been practicing all week. Boy are they loud! While I was trying to take pictures of the planes I took these pictures of my flowers. This orange flower is new this year. It hasn't ever bloomed before and I think it's really pretty!

Pansey (only one came back from last year)
I think this is a H.....I don't remember but it starts with an "H".
This is Brandon's pumpkin plants. They started these at pre school.

Okay here is some of the air show. I put a lot of little movie clips on my family web site "keepingupwiththehansens.blogspot.com" so if you want to see them fly over my house and hear how loud they really are check them out.

Ah well, one more just in case you don't check out

Saturday at the M&T stadium

Okay so Saturday after Brandon's ice skating class we drove up to Walter Reed and picked up 4 people to take to the Kenny Chesney "Poets and Pirates" concert in Baltimore. Before when I heard we were going (the day before) I thought it would be at the Verizon Center (indoor) and in the evening. Turns out that it was at 2:30 pm at the M&T stadium. Once we got there we took our seats and waited for the show to start. That's when we found out that the show was going to go until 11pm or longer (they were going to have 5 bands sing before him). Hmmm. We will have to leave early if it's okay with the people that came with us. I hated to do that but we were going to have to drive back to Walter Reed and then home. That meant it was going to be a very long day. At 2:30 the show didn't start. By 3pm (I think) a band that won a contest played some songs. After that they had to clear the stage for the next singer Gary Allen. Sorry I don't really listen to country music so I don't know any Gary Allen songs. The next singer was LeAnn Rimes. Cool! Love her! Here is a picture of her singing. We had really good seats although they were up in the 500 section. Thanks for the tickets Operation Second Chance! We love you! Anyway LeAnn sang it was great.
The bands played a lot of songs kind of like a mini concert. The next band was Big and Rich. The only song that I knew before hand was "Ride a Cowboy, Save a Horse" lol I did recognize 'I play chicken with the train" by Big Troy.

Next band to play was Brooks and Dunn. Here is their balloon.
Here is Brooks and Dunn. Again not a big country fan so I didn't really know any songs but did recognize the name of the band :)
So here we are after 8:30/9pm pm Brandon took a nap in my arms so we decide- we have waited this long whats one more hour before we leave. I recognized his "no shirt, no shoes, no problem" The concert was great. We waited until around 10 ish to leave. Here's a couple of more pics of Kenny. Great concert. Thanks to all those who made this happen for our soldiers at Walter Reed. It means a lot for these people to get out of the hospital and to do something that's not hospital related. Thanks again.

While we were driving home we turned the radio on to 98.7. They were playing the concert live. The concert was still going on at 11:30 ish. Wow! We sure did have fun.
